The Evening Skincare Routine That Actually Gives You Glowing Skin
A dermatologist-friendly nighttime routine that repairs, hydrates and brightens — without overloading your skin barrier.

Step 1: Double cleanse, properly
An oil cleanser breaks down sunscreen, makeup and sebum — water cleansers can't. Massage for 60 seconds, emulsify with a splash of water, then rinse. Follow with a gentle, low-pH gel or cream cleanser. If you don't wear makeup or SPF, one cleanse is enough.
Step 2: Treat (and rotate)
Pick ONE active per night. Retinol on Mon/Wed/Fri, an exfoliating acid (lactic, mandelic) on Tue/Sat, peptides or barrier-support serums on the off nights. Stacking actives is the fastest way to wreck your barrier and trigger purging.
Step 3: Hydrate
A hyaluronic acid serum on damp skin, then a humectant-rich moisturizer (glycerin, panthenol, ceramides). Slug with a thin layer of occlusive (petrolatum or squalane) one or two nights a week if you wake up parched.
Step 4: Eyes and lips
An eye cream with peptides and caffeine for under-eye support. A lip mask with lanolin or shea. Both are cheap insurance against the first signs of dryness.
